Doxology
We sing this song in worship when the ushers bring our offerings to the altar to be blessed.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below
Praise God above ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Gloria Patri
(“Glory to the Father”)
We sing this song in worship as a way of praising God.
Glory be to the Father
And to the Son
And to the Holy Ghost
As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be
World without end. Amen. Amen.
Lord’s Prayer
(Luke 11: 2-4)
Jesus taught this prayer to his disciples. Over the years the church has changed it a little. This is the version used in our church.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
They kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.
The Serenity Prayer
This is a very well known modern prayer written by Reinhold Niebuhr that has helped people of many faiths.
God grant us the serenity to
Accept the things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Amen.
