SPIRIT SIGHTINGS
This will be a regular column on the Christian Education Page. I have borrowed the “Spirit Sightings” idea from the Seasons of the Spirit website. On the website, “ Spirit Sightings are intended to lift up international news stories and current events, linking these to the lectionary passages for each Sunday.” It is a place for us to “look for and celebrate the Spirit’s working in the world and in our daily lives.”
I will be keeping my eyes, ears, and heart open for Spirit Sightings and I encourage you to do the same! If you find a current event or news story that you’d like to share, please contact me.
THE LIBRARY CORNER
Did you know that Central Square Congregational Church has a library? Once all of the construction is completed, o ur library will be located in the hallway between the Pre-K room and the Sanctuary. It will be one full wall of books including Bibles, Bible handbooks, theology books, self help books, devotional and prayer books, and lots of great children’s books.
Once it is in place , Charlie will be cleaning, organizing, and updating our wonderful library. As a way of encouraging you to use this wonderful resource, each month in Steeple Sounds we will highlight a particular book or category of books so you have a better idea of what’s available. In addition, check out the library display in the parish hall. If you have any ideas or want to make a donation to help our library grow, please talk with Rev. Kristy or Charlie.
